Gender Equality in 2019: What is it going to take to get us there?

In this symposium, panelists will discuss gender equality today, what progress has been made in the last two decades, and what barriers prevent additional change. The audience will leave with a new understanding of the durability of inequality and with actionable steps to generate equality in their organizations and communities.

Panelists include:

  • Professor Shelley Correll, Stanford sociologist who studies gender, workplace dynamics, and organizational culture
  • Professor Erin Cech, University of Michigan sociologist who studies inequality in the culture of STEM
  • Professor Adina Sterling, Stanford organizational behavior scholar who studies social networks and their impact on labor markets
  • Professor David Pedulla, Stanford sociologist who researches race and gender stratification, labor markets, and economic and organizational sociology.
