HIV/AIDS, Dance and Memory

Join us before the performance of Variations on Themes from Lost and Found for a conversation on the impact of HIV/AIDS on a generation of dance artists in New York and San Francisco. Choreographers Ishmael Houston-Jones and Miguel Gutierrez will be joined by Bay Area performance makers Rhodessa Jones and Keith Hennessy to discuss how their artistic practices have memorialized and continue to respond to the ongoing epidemic.

This discussion is co-organized with SFMOMA’s arts and culture platform Open Space. Claudia La Rocco, Open Space editor-in-chief, will moderate.
