Professor Richard Meyer named Interim Director of FGSS

Richard Meyer

Dean R. Lanier Anderson has announced Professor Richard Meyer as the new Interim Director of the Program in Feminist, Gender, & Sexuality Studies.
In an email to faculty on September 4, Anderson, Senior Associate Dean of the School of Humanities & Arts and J.E. Wallace Sterling Professor in the Humanities, announced that Richard Meyer, Robert and Ruth Halperin Professor of Art History, had agree to step in as Interim Director of the Program in Feminist, Gender, and Sexuality Studies at Stanford.

Outgoing director, Professor Adrian Daub, served for four years and is currently Director of the Michelle R. Clayman Institute for Gender Research. Dean Anderson writes, "I want to add here a special word of thanks to outgoing Director Adrian Daub, who has served the Program with unflagging energy, and who agreed to step up to an extension of his term for this past year, despite an unreasonable accumulation of other commitments and administrative burdens.  We are all indebted to Adrian for the energy he brought to the Program."
