Alberto Quintero

Modern Thought and Literature

Alberto Quintero is a Ph.D. candidate in Modern Thought and Literature at Stanford University. His research interests lie mainly in the areas of contemporary Latin American literature and queer theory. His research focuses primarily on the cultural and political implications of Latin American literary and critical texts, especially those associated with the outlook often named Neobaroque. He is a co-founder and Editor-in-Chief of Literalia, a digital publishing and translation platform connecting Mexican authors with readers across the world. He co-edited with celebrated Mexican novelist, poet, and playwright Carmen Boullosa Let’s Talk About Your Wall: Mexican Writers Respond to the Immigration Crisis, published by The New Press. From 2014 to 2016, he was a member of the Fulbright Foreign Student Program at The New School in New York City, and he is currently an EDGE Fellow and at Stanford University.
