Courtney Peña is a doctoral candidate at the Graduate School of Education in Social Sciences, Humanities, and Interdisciplinary Policy Studies (SHIPS). She focuses on Race, Inequality, and Language in Education (RILE) and has completed a PhD minor in Feminist, Gender, and Sexuality Studies (FGSS). She has served as a TA for a number of FGSS courses exploring topics of gender, identity, and marginalization in the context of higher education. Courtney's current research looks at intersectionality in education. Her dissertation work expands pedagogical theory relating to culture in schools.
