Elizabeth Jacob is a PhD candidate in African history at Stanford University. Her dissertation explores gender, motherhood, and politics in West Africa, with a focus on Côte d'Ivoire. Other research interests include pan-Africanism, decolonization, and feminist history and theory. She has received grants and fellowships from the American Historical Association, the Fulbright Program, and Stanford's Center for African Studies, among others. She currently holds a Dissertation Prize Fellowship at the Stanford Humanities Center.
