Katie Gaddini
Katie Gaddini is Associate Professor in Sociology at University College London (UCL) and an Associate Researcher at the University of Johannesburg, Dept of Sociology. From 2022-2026 she's a United Kingdom Research & Innovation Fellow (UCL/ Stanford) researching and writing on evangelical women and conservative politics in the US. Her first book The Struggle to Stay: Why Single Evangelical Women are Leaving the Church (Columbia University Press, 2022) examined women's marginalization in evangelicalism across two countries. Together with scholars in Chile and Brazil, Gaddini is the co-founder of Christianity and Politics Across the Americas, a network of scholars working on the intersection of religion and politics in North, Central and South America.
