Theresa Iker
Choi-Lam H&S Lecturer in Undergraduate Teaching

Theresa Iker specializes in modern American politics, gender, and culture. She received her Ph.D. in History and minor in Feminist, Gender, and Sexuality Studies (FGSS) from Stanford University in 2023, where she now serves as the Choi-Lam H&S lecturer in Undergraduate Teaching. Her research explores the American men’s rights movement, a social and political mobilization meant to restore men’s ostensibly lost legal rights and social privileges. Her book project traces this poorly understood yet influential movement’s trajectory from its midcentury origins to the present day. Her writing has been published in the Journal of Women’s History, the Clayman Institute’s Gender News, and the Huffington Post.
