Queer Arts Initiative Presents Carl Phillips

Join us for an intimate reading with renowned American Poet Carl Phillips. Phillips is the author of 14 books of poetry, most recently Wild Is The Wind IFSG, 2018). A finalist for National Book Award and the National Book Critics Circle Award, his work is the recipient of numerous awards, including the Lambda Literary Award and the Thom Gunn Award for Gay Male Poetry, as well as fellowships from the Guggenheim Foundation, the Library of Congress, and the Academy of American Poets. Phillips is a professor in the Department of English at Washington University in St. Louis.

After the reading, Phillips will be in conversation with Jones Lecturer in Poetry Charif Shanahan, and also sign complimentary copies of Wild Is The Wind. Refreshments will be provided. See you there!
