We are excited to announce the Spring quarter Queer Learning Initiative Workshop: Translating Queer Literature. We have a series of conversations featuring guest speakers hosted by Alberto Quintero (MTL, FGSS) and Elias Aceves (QSR) every Wednesday 4-5:30 PST (weeks 6-9) on Zoom. Guest speakers include:

May 4: Will Stockton (English, Clemson University), conversation about his translation of Sergio Loo's queer satirical novel Nightmare in Narvarte (Literalia 2020).

May 11: Luis Felipe Fabre & JD Pluecker, presentation of Writing with Caca (Green Lantern Press 2021), a 2022 Lambda Finalist for Gay Memoir/Biography.

May 18: Robin Myers, conversation about her upcoming translation of Mariana Spada's The Law of Conservation (Deep Vellum Publishing, 2023).

May 25: Víctor Cata & Rosemary Beam de Azcona, conversation about translating the collection of Zapotec short stories, We're Only Words (Literalia 2020).
