Dissertation Title
Working the gray areas : gender and labor in the digital age
Annika is a doctoral student in Modern Thought and Literature. She is interested in the intersections of gender, affect, and technology in late capitalism. Her current research project explores the relationship between digital technologies and gendered, affective labor in the food service industry, focusing on the online review platform Yelp. She holds a B.A. in American Studies and Economics from Wesleyan University.
