Katy provided administrative and data support for the Domestic Violence office at the Refugee Women's Alliance (ReWA) in Seattle, WA.  She was inspired by the Baha'i International Community's statement to the United Nations entitled "Beyond Legal Reforms: Culture and Capacity in the Eradication of Violence Against Women and Girls", particularly its emphasis on the importance of educational programs to address root causes of violence worldwide.  She pursued a Master's degree in Montessori early childhood education and worked in bilingual classrooms in Hong Kong and China for several years.  She has now returned to Sacramento, helping nonprofit and educational organizations implement data solutions to multiply their impact.
